Make Your Voice HEARD

On Medicaid

We need your support!

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists prides itself on being able to provide easy access to life-saving cancer medications in our offices, right in the communities where our patients live and work.

All cancer patients know how difficult getting cancer treatment can be. New York Cancer & Blood Specialists works hard to make this process easier by giving our patients the medicines they need when they come to the office. Because we dispense medications in our offices, our patients do not need to make separate trips to the pharmacy or wait weeks for prescriptions to arrive from an insurance specialty pharmacy. We also can quickly adjust dosages and dispense additional medications for cancer treatment side effects. And we handle the paperwork.

However, New York Medicaid has created new regulations that threatens our ability to continue dispensing medications to our Medicaid patients. These poorly thought-out regulations could force our Medicaid patients to use outside pharmacies to get their pills. This harms our patients by giving them more places to drive, longer waits, and less support with paperwork. These regulations are unfair. They do not exist for patients with private insurance.

We need your help. As a patient, you have the strongest voice.
